ALLEZ PARIS! PSG SEAL QUADRUPLE and 1st UCL Title in ONE-SIDED FINAL THRASHING
Paris-Saint Germain completed their ultimate dream by demolishing an under-par Inter Milan in Munich to lift their first ever UCL title and seal their first treble in their history.
Match Preview:
It doesn't get much bigger than this, two heavyweights of Europe lock themselves in tonight for a prize that both teams desire to achieve, the UEFA Champions League. PSG and Inter Milan face off in an ultimate clash that proves to be a promising one for the ages. PSG cruised past Arsenal, who were so close to pulling off the ultimate upset, having thrashed Real Madrid over two legs in the quarters. Whereas Inter Milan edged Barcelona in a thrilling classic, where Davide Fratessi sent the Nerazzuri fans wild as he scored the 99th minute winner to send Inter to Munich. And it hasn't been easy for both teams. PSG scraped the play-offs and made it to the final, whereas Inter qualified directly. Respective to their league form, Inter finished second to Napoli in the Italian Serie A, and PSG yet again sealed the Ligue 1 title and won the Coupe de France. A treble awaits for the French champions. Who will come out on top in this clash of the titans? Can PSG complete the treble and win the UCL after Manchester City did it against Inter Milan in Istanbul two years ago, or will Inter Milan end their curse and lift their 4th UCL title? A fierce contest awaits here at the Allianz Arena here, in Munich!

ONES TO WATCH:
Désiré Doué: You need to take a moment to realise, how impressive has this 19-year-old been for PSG? Absolute baller, and a promising star that is set to start in a massive game for the club. Being dubbed as the next Neymar, can he deliver on a big night for PSG?
Ousmane Dembele: Not many people realised, just how terrific he has been this season. Having had an injury-ravaged season with Barcelona, his £60M move to PSG has truly changed the complexion of the team, being the replacement of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe. How good has he been? Can he become the star man tonight?
Yann Sommer: In a season where Inter have been defensively solid, this man has been one of the reasons why they're in the UCL final. Such an incredible veteran, who has plyed his trade in the Bundesliga and has set himself as Inter's permanent number 1. What can he conjure up with in the final?
Lautaro Martinez: A prolific & exciting man to watch. As he always is with Inter, a constant threat at the top, with an eye for goals. He's been Inter's best striker this season, what will he come up with in this final?
KICK-OFF: FIRST HALF
A final that promises to be thrilling, the FINAL SHOWDOWN begins in MUNICH, with PSG starting it! What a contest this is, the first-ever meeting between two sides, who have been respective champions in their leagues, facing off in this final! So far, it's been all PSG, being super dominant over their opponents by controlling the ball and seizing advantage of it. Opta has predicted a PSG win by 45%, which is showing good signs for the Parisians. And PSG showed why they deserve to win the UCL with an 11th minute opener. Well, after Dembele's shot, PSG are at it again, winning the ball back! LOVELY PASS FROM VITINHA AND HAKIMI SCORES FROM CLOSE RANGE, AGAINST HIS FORMER CLUB!! WELL, THAT WAS COMING!! PSG STRIKE FIRST BLOOD IN THE UCL FINAL! LOVELY PASS FROM VITINHA, CUTTING THE INTER DEFENCE AND BEAUTIFUL SKILL FROM DESIRE DOUE, and the simple pass to Hakimi, who shows respect to the club he used to play for. What a start for PSG, who are on course to the title, provided that they continue to play like this! PSG 1 - Inter 0.
Hakimi celebrates with Doué after scoring the first goal.
You don't often say this, but Inter are behind in this game. Do they have a chance at coming back into this contest? Only one way to find out. Although they did survive a scare, when Kvara blazed over. And PSG nabbed their second on 20 minutes. Terrific work from Willian Pacho to keep the ball in play, and now, the counterattack comes from PSG, they have done this so well, and now, Kvaratskhelia with the ball, on towards Ousmane Dembele, who's been a constant threat throughout 20 minutes, finds the pass onto Doué, DEFLECTED AND IN!!! THE ALLIANZ ARENA IS ABSOLUTELY ELECTRIC AND LOUD CHEERS FROM THE PSG FANS, as it is their 19-YEAR-OLD WONDERKID, WHO HAS BEEN THEIR BEST PERFORMING PLAYER THROUGHOUT THIS CONTEST!! HE NOW HAS A GOAL ON THE BIGGEST STAGE IN EUROPE, WITH PSG, IT'S DESIRÉ DOUÉ, for 2-0! Unfortunate deflection off Federico Dimarco, who's been having a horror night at the back for Inter. And surely the game is done?!
Oh my word! Inter are rocked, PSG are rocking! Inter take a corner, which Acerbi couldn't take advantage of the chance. And to mention this fun fact, Désiré Doué becomes the 3rd youngest to score in a UCL final, and first to both score and assist! What a moment to remember!
You might sense that PSG are close to scoring the third goal, but attempts were comfortable for Yann Sommer, who has had to work very hard to keep his side in the game. And you clearly saw, the Inter Milan defence was completely opened and so too the midfield. But none of those are stopping the Nerazzuri from trying a shot at goal, with Marcus Thuram coming close, but headed his effort wide. And at the other end, PSG wasted their chance, with once again the impressive French duo of Dembele and Doué combining together, only for the ex-Barcelona attacker to flash the ball across the face of goal, which was the final action of the first half.
HALF-TIME AT MUNICH.
Well! What a terrific first half from Paris-Saint Germain, who have been clinical with two of their chances at a xG of 1.42, thanks to Hakimi & Doué. It's been a very difficult first half for Inter Milan, who have failed to defend tightly and have a 0.19 xG. It is going to take something special for Inter to turn things around.
KICK-OFF: Second Half
AWAY WE GO as Inter look to drag themselves from behind to get back in the game! Inter have already lost a final, against Manchester City, but they trailed for 22 minutes, whereas it's a long 45 minutes for them if they are to stop a rampant PSG side, who are hungry for more goals, and you can see already, the impressive Kvara coming close for the Parisians, only for the shot to go wide. Frustration was already piling for Simone Inzaghi as his side continued to struggle against the red-hot attack, looking to pile on more pain. And the pain continued as on 63 minutes, Doué bagged his second of the night. They're playing it from the back are PSG, with Vitinha receiving the ball from Marquinhos, finds Dembele, who produces a gorgeous backheel for the Portuguese midfielder, continues going, finds Doué, it's DESIRÉ DOUÉ, and HE BAGS THE THIRD GOAL FOR PSG!! WHAT A NIGHT HE IS HAVING, THE 19-YEAR-OLD!! THIS IS SIMPLY OUTSTANDING FROM PARIS-SAINT GERMAIN, WHO ARE RUNNING AWAY WITH THE UCL, AS DESIRÉ DOUÉ, GETS HIS SECOND OF THE NIGHT, AT THE EXPENSE OF A YELLOW CARD, BUT HE DOESN'T CARE!! THE PSG FANS ARE ABSOLUTELY ECSTATIC!! ONLY 27 MINUTES AWAY FROM VICTORY, IT'S ALL PSG!!
But Doué will not get his hat-trick as he is replaced after 65 minutes by another impressive French talent, Bradley Barcola, as he is the second player after Gareth Bale for Real Madrid in 2018, to score twice and assist in the UCL final. The rampage continues for PSG, despite Barcola's miss, a 4th goal on the 72nd minute! Won back well by Nuno Mendes off Dumfries, finds Dembele, who initally gave the ball away, and a lovely pass onto Kvara, AND THIS IS FOR THE FOURTH! WHICH HE DOES GET!! KVICHA KVARATSKHELIA HAS JUST MADE PSG'S NIGHT EVEN BETTER!! AND THE CELEBRATIONS HAVE ALREADY STARTED, EVEN THOUGH IT'S NOT FULL TIME YET!! SENT CLEAN THROUGH BY DEMBELE AND CALMLY FIRES IT BEYOND SOMMER'S REACH TO MARK A TERRIFIC NIGHT FOR PARIS-SAINT GERMAIN!
Now Inter are finding their aggression, which they didn't pose throughout the game, but Donnarumma keeps out Thuram's effort. Much better from the 3-time UCL winners, but is it too late? And PSG made sure of the result on 85 minutes. A triple change made by Luis Enrique as he sends on Senny Mayulu, Goncalo Ramos and Warren Zaire-Emery for Kvaratskhelia, Fabian Ruiz and Joao Neves. Now, Vitinha, who has been terrific throughout this game, finds Barcola, waits for support. Plays a lovely one-two with Mayulu, and IT'S SENNY MAYULU WHO SCORES THE FIFTH! AND WITH THAT, THE FINAL NAIL IN THE COFFIN FOR INTER MILAN, WHOSE MISERY FINALLY ENDS. TERRIFIC PLAY FROM BARCOLA, WHO COULD'VE HAD THE 5TH GOAL WRAPPED UP, BUT UNSELFISHLY GIVES THE BALL TO MAYULU, WHO SEIZED HIS CHANCE AND LASHES A SHOT INTO THE NET TO MAKE IT A 5-STAR NIGHT FOR PARIS-SAINT GERMAIN. HE WAS ONLY ON THE PITCH FOR A MATTER OF MINUTES, BEFORE HE NETS HIS FIRST EVER UCL GOAL FOR THE CLUB AND THE BEST OF THE LOT! PSG 5 - INTER 0!
AND THERE IT IS!! THE FULL-TIME WHISTLE HAS SOUNDED AND IT'S A NEW NAME IN THE HISTORY BOOKS OF THIS COMPETITION! PARIS-SAINT GERMAIN ARE NOW, TREBLE WINNERS AND UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WINNERS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!! They tried with superstars, like Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, Lionel Messi, Marco Veratti, etc. But they failed, getting eliminated in the knockout stages by Bayern Munich (X2), Manchester City, Real Madrid & Borussia Dortmund for 5 consecutive years. But now, with no superstars, just a youthful approach has taken them to the illusive trophy which has evaded the Ligue 1 winners for so many years, but they have done it! Magical celebrations in Paris and to all PSG fans around the world. Congratulations to Paris-Saint Germain, who have beaten Internazionale Milano by 5-0 in a completely one-sided UCL final.
